Living with a colostomy affects far more than clinical health. We study the unmet needs of active patients and bring engineering rigor to a field that has seen too little of it.
The unmet need
The traditional pouch is more than a device. It is a daily limit.

Our approach

Human factors & usability
We design from how a person will really use a device, not from how it behaves in a lab. Safety and ease of use come first.
Materials science
Our material development focuses on soft silicone, with biocompatibility, tissue tolerance, comfort and durability being assessed as part of the current development process.
Design controls & risk
We are building a structured development process around requirements, testing, usability and risk management, aligned with medical-device standards including ISO 14971.
Evidence-based iteration
Prototype, test with real users, measure, refine. Decisions are led by data, not opinion.

StomAid has begun its regulatory pathway. We are listening to patients, colorectal surgeons, and specialist ostomy nurses, and building the foundations that a serious medical device requires.
